This page is dedicated to all the things that we are proud about in school. During the period of school closure we will be sharing some of the work that you have been completing at home. Keep an eye out here each Friday to find out who teachers have nominated as their 'Star of the Week'.
If you have any examples of your child's work or your children in action at home, please email them to homelearning@hursknollschool.org.uk - we would love to see what you and they have been up to.

Mr Hobday has recorded his 'Celebration Assembly' video. In this video you will hear all about what has been happening in school this week and will hear who the teachers have nominated as their 'Stars of the Week'. Check back here each Friday to see who the new 'Stars of the Week' are.

Work of the week - Friday 26th June 2020

We are so proud of all the work that the children have been completing whilst they have been at home. Here are just some examples from this week:

Izaan and Summaya are always busy at home and this week is no exception. They have been bug hunting in the garden and they found a ladybird. They kept it as a pet and even named it Katy. They took good care of it as Summaya has been doing some research online about how to take care of a ladybird as a pet. After couple of days they let it go back to its original habitat in the garden and were amazed to see the ladybird in the garden where they left it the following day.

Also as the theme was about ladybirds. Izaan has been listening to' What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson online. He enjoyed listening to Julia Donaldson singing a song about the ladybird too. He also coloured in the ladybird and practised learning his colours and counting the spots on the ladybird.

Summaya has been doing some instructional writing on google classroom. She wrote her first draft for Miss Reilly and decided to follow the recipe at home. She even made her own chocolate fruit skewers.
