Nursery Consultation

Nursery Consultation

Following the recent consultation period, Governors have taken the difficult decision to cease Nursery provision at the end of this academic year. Numbers have steadily fallen within the Nursery class meaning that the Nursery-aged children are now an addition to the Reception class rather than a separate Nursery class. This means that the children do not consistently receive the age-appropriate activities and teaching that they require during this vital stage of their development. We understand the value that a school Nursery class brings to the children, and to school, but we unfortunately do not have the demand for places to make this a financially viable option at the current time. This decision will be reviewed should he demand for Nursery places increase.
