Our Church

Hurst Knoll St James’ Primary School is a Voluntarily Controlled Church of England Primary School within the Parish of the Good Shepherd, and the school is particularly linked with St. James' Church in Ashton and St. John the Evangelist Church at Hurst Cross. 

Recently, links between the school and St. John's have grown stronger with the school holding its Harvest, Christingle and Easter services at the school as well as completing visits as part of the delivery of the school's religious education curriculum. Our links with the church have been strengthened further since the arrival of Reverend Carol Schofield who visits school regularly, leads assembly once a month and is a school Governor. 

School works closely with the Parish of the Good Shepherd, St. John's Church and Manchester Diocese to ensure the spiritual needs of the school community are met.
