Our Church

Hurst Knoll St James’ Primary School is a Voluntarily Controlled Church of England Primary School. The Parish to which it belongs is the Parish of the Good Shepherd, and the school is particularly linked with St. James' Church in Ashton and St. John the Evangelist Church at Hurst Cross.

Recently, links between the school and St. John's have grown stronger with the school holding its Harvest and Easter services at the school as well as completing visits as part of the delivery of the school's religious education curriculum. Our links with the church have been strengthened further since the arrival of Reverend Carol Schofield who visits school regularly and leads assembly once a month.

School will continue to work with the Parish of the Good Shepherd, St. John's Church and Manchester Diocese to ensure the spiritual needs of the school community are met.
