Phonics

In school we follow the Twinkl Phonics programme. 

Children in EYFS, Y1 and Y2 have a daily phonics session. In this session, they recap sounds they have learned previously, are introduced to new sounds and have the chance to include the sounds they have learnt in words and sentences. 

At the end of Year 1 and, in line with Government expectations, all children are required to take the Phonics Screening Check. If they do not reach the set pass mark, they have the chance to take the check again at the end of Y2. Outcomes from this can be seen by clicking on the following link - Outcomes
